Addressing Teacher Burnout in Europe
Teacher burnout has become a growing concern across Europe, with increasing numbers of educators reporting high stress, emotional fatigue, and professional disengagement.
The Erasmus+ project From Burnout to Balance – Supporting Educators’ Wellbeing responds to this challenge by offering practical and preventive training focused on wellbeing, coaching methodologies, and positive psychology in education.
By embedding these innovative methods into its regular training offer, Mundus reinforces its commitment to promoting teacher wellbeing and long-term resilience in the education sector. The initiative not only supports the professional growth of participating educators but also contributes to creating more positive, inclusive and emotionally aware classrooms.
Integration into Mundus Teacher Training Curriculum
As part of this initiative, Asociación Mundus has successfully integrated the project’s training content into its official teacher training curriculum for Erasmus+ KA1 programmes.
Between 7 and 18 July, a group of ten European teachers took part in a 30-hour intensive training course designed to equip them with tools to promote wellbeing in the classroom.
This training module will be delivered again between 21 and 30 July, offering a new group of teachers the opportunity to benefit from the programme. The continued implementation of this course marks an important step in ensuring the sustainability and wider impact of the project results, allowing the tools and methodologies developed to reach educators beyond the project’s initial scope.
Key Training Topics
The training addressed essential topics such as:
Recognising early signs of stress and burnout
Setting healthy professional boundaries
Applying coaching techniques to support motivation and autonomy
Using positive psychology to cultivate a more emotionally supportive learning environment
Long-Term Impact and Sustainability
