Mundus celebrated an event in the Canary Islands with VET teachers and professionals to present the project work and the main results

Fuerteventura, Spain – Go4VocationalSkills, a strategic partnership funded by the Erasmus+ program, proudly announced the successful presentation of its latest project results during a multiplier event in Fuerteventura. This initiative, aligned with the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027), aims to enhance the quality of vocational education across Europe by addressing digital transformation and skills gaps among students in technical fields.

The Go4VocationalSkills project targets three specific vocational fields: construction, logistics, and renewable energy. By developing a comprehensive tool for analyzing student skills gaps, the project supports schools in making their teaching processes more attractive and effective, including distance learning solutions. This initiative ensures that vocational training aligns more closely with current market expectations.

Key Project Results

  • Competency Profiles: Detailed profiles for construction, logistics, and renewable energy technicians.
  • Competence Tests: Substantive input for creating competency tests in the three fields of study.
  • IT Tool: An innovative tool for the automatic assessment of competency levels and their compliance with established profiles.
  • Interpretation Guide: A proposed methodology for interpreting competency test results, including development activities and funding opportunities.

Event Highlights

The event, hosted by Mundus, brought together approximately 100 VET teachers and professionals from technical schools. The presentation highlighted the Go4VocationalSkills project’s innovative digital tool, which allows teachers and administrators to generate detailed PDF reports, visualize group reports, and personalize the tool with different question types.

Following the presentation, a dynamic Discussion & Workshop session addressed critical questions such as:

  • How does your school support digitalization?
  • What IT tools do you use in the classroom?
  • Does your school assess students’ competencies and job market readiness? If yes, how? Which tools do you use?
  • How could you apply the Go4VocationalSkills IT tool in your school?

The event highlighted the tool’s potential to revolutionize vocational education by equipping teachers with effective digital resources and enhancing students’ competencies to meet market demands.
