The European Union-funded project IN.PACT has officially been launched, marking a significant step forward in fostering youth participation and community-building across Europe. With an innovative approach that combines participatory practices, specialized training and inclusive community spaces, IN.PACT aims to empower young people and youth workers to become active drivers of positive social change.
A Project with a Purpose
IN.PACT is designed to address the growing needs of young Europeans, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds, by creating a collaborative network of youth organizations. Through targeted initiatives, the project focuses on strengthening youth facilitators’ skills, empowering marginalized youth—including NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) and young migrants—and fostering stronger community resilience.
Key Initiatives and Goals
The project’s core components include:
- Mapping of Participatory Practices – Identifying, analyzing, and connecting successful youth participation experiences across Europe.
- Establishing a Community of Practice (CoP) – Bringing together stakeholders who have implemented participatory methodologies to share best practices and enhance collective action.
- Hybrid Training Program – Offering a combination of online and in-person training modules to develop youth facilitators and community leaders.
- Smart Labs Implementation – Creating local spaces where youth can engage in hands-on participatory training and youth-led initiatives.
These efforts are set to generate impactful resources, including an Interactive Best Practices Map, a Flexible Training Package, and a Smart Lab Implementation Handbook, all designed to be accessible and adaptable to diverse community needs.
Project Partnership and Collaboration
IN.PACT is a joint effort led by four organizations: Gaia Education, Mundus, Grain&Sens, and Inesto. Together, these partners bring extensive expertise in youth development, social innovation, and participatory methodologies to ensure the success of the project.
