From July 4 to 6, the kick-off meeting of the CoVE project (Center of Professional Excellence) in which Mundus participates was held in Athens
The TourX adventure has officially begun! From July 4 to 6, Béatrice Bellet (Head of the Mundus Strategy and Innovation Department) together with Iva Perković and Clara Badenes (project managers of the entity) attended the initial meeting of TourX, the new CoVE (Center of Professional Excellence ) in which Mundus participates.
TourX is a four-year CoVE project for the tourism industry that has a partnership made up of 23 partners. It is a project whose main objective is the development of an approach aimed at excellence in the tourism sector, where vocational education and training centers can increase their capacity to quickly adapt the provision of specific skills to economic and social needs in evolution.
The Spanish partners, in addition to Mundus, are the City Council of La Oliva, ASOFUER and the Escuela de Hostelería Europea.

During the 3 days of the meeting, there was an opportunity to present the project in detail, explain what a CoVE consists of, debate with experts on topics related to TourX such as employability and competitive capacity in the tourism sector or on regional strategies and policies in related to that area. At the opening of the meeting, we had the honor of having the Minister of Tourism of Greece, Mr. Vasileios Kikilias, and the President of IEK AKMI – ΙΕΚ ΑΚΜΗ, Mr. Rodopoulos. In addition, the project partners had the opportunity to discover all the work packages in different round tables.
At the end of the work days, TourX partners were able to enjoy group activities to strengthen ties and to get to know the main attractions of the city from a tourist and cultural point of view.
