Zaragoza, Spain. The projectFrom Burnout to Balance’ recently concluded a productive 3-day training in Zaragoza, Spain. The training organised by Mundus brought together passionate educators from Croatia, France, and Spain to explore practical strategies for managing stress, building resilience, and fostering emotional well-being in their professional and personal lives.

This training is part of the ‘From Burnout to Balance’ project, which aims to address the increasing issue of burnout in the education sector by equipping teachers with knowledge and tools to promote mental health and achieve a sustainable work-life balance.

The training featured expert sessions led by Silvia Fron, Training Manager at ASAPME Asociación Aragonesa Pro Salud Mental, and Iva Perkovic, from Mundus International. Participants engaged in insightful presentations, interactive workshops, and hands-on activities over three focused days.

Key Topics Covered During the Training

Stress and Burnout

On the first day, the focus was on understanding stress and burnout, including their symptoms, causes, and impacts. Educators explored how stress manifests in professional environments and its long-term effects. The day was led by Silvia Fron, who provided an expert session on Understanding and Managing Stress, offering practical techniques and tools to address stress and reduce its impact.

Emotional Intelligence and Resilience

Day two centered on emotional intelligence and resilience, critical skills for maintaining mental health in high-pressure environments. Facilitated by Iva Perkovic, the session emphasized self-awareness, emotional regulation, and strategies for building resilience to better handle everyday challenges in teaching. Educators engaged in group activities and self-reflection exercises to strengthen these essential skills.

Positive Psychology and Stress Management

The final day of training, also led by Iva Perkovic, introduced participants to the principles of positive psychology and stress management strategies. Educators learned how to incorporate positivity-focused techniques into their daily routines and professional practices. During the session, participants created personalized action plans that outlined their individual stressors, coping strategies, and long-term well-being goals. These plans are intended to support a sustained path toward balance and emotional well-being.
