European Vocational Skills Week
Organized by the European Commission, the EVSW is an annual event during which local, regional or national organizations showcase the best of vocational education and training (VET), a sector capable of equipping all people with the skills needed for a successful personal and professional life. After five editions, the event has become a platform of exchange for those interested in VET throughout Europe and beyond.
The fifth edition of the Week is a fully digital event due to COVID-19 security measures and will take place from 9 to 13 November 2020. The theme is “VET for green and digital transitions”, in line with the Commission’s priorities for a European Green Deal and a digitally literate Europe.
The 2020 Week will play a particularly important role, given the challenges facing Europe’s VET community due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as it provides a unique forum to identify common problems and exchange solutions.
National Contact Points
23 European organizations have accepted the challenge of being the National Contact Point for the European Vocational Skills Week 2020.
The National Contact Points have a fundraising mission divided into three parts:
- To expand the campaign among the stakeholders in vocational training at national, regional or local level.
- To support the Ambassador appointed to represent our country. In this case we have Salvador Lorenzo, diversity manager at Repsol.
- Provide dedicated assistance to the organizers of events/activities in our country.
