Through this project we want to raise awareness of the challenges of female entrepreneurship and European values for cultural diversity and social inclusion, as well as contribute to the debates on how entrepreneurship can help young women with fewer opportunities.

At the same time, this project will connect relevant stakeholders at local and regional level and offer innovative and continuous training solutions through the publication of intellectual outputs.

Context

The COVID19 pandemic and the financial crisis are making it difficult for young women to find work. Starting your own project is a good option instead of "waiting for the dream job". The European economy depends on SMEs and will do so even more in the future. Entrepreneurship and business are traditionally a male domain, but there is a growing interest among women in learning how to start and run their own business, especially in times of severe unemployment and social hardship.

Women's entrepreneurship is a great source of growth in Europe; however, women need different approaches than men. That is why we need specific entrepreneurial ecosystems, based on their own life experiences and value systems. In this context, the CHEER YOU @P project alliance was born, which is coordinated by the Gain&Sustain organization (Austria) and made up of the following partners: Mundus Association (Spain), Monopatia Allilegiis (Greece), Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (Estonia) and Uniwersytet Rzeszowski (Poland).

Objectives

Innovate entrepreneurship education, including coaching and mentoring skills for youth workers/trainers/teachers, fostering personal and technical resilience in the digital age.

Foster the educational skills of youth workers/trainers/teachers, helping them overcome gender stereotypes in their youth work environments.

Identify, design and pilot entrepreneurial ecosystems that support women entrepreneurs in the different partner countries.

Improve the digital literacy and entrepreneurial skills of youth workers and young women with fewer opportunities to overcome additional obstacles in order to develop their professional career and skills.

Create positive impact and spread entrepreneurship during the COVID19 crisis through a sustainable (digital) network uniting change agents from across the EU.

Project activities

The project will translate into concrete results and activities aimed at achieving the objectives set and addressing the needs of young women entrepreneurs.

Mapping to identify youth, education and training actors and then to publicise the “GOPY points” for advice on cross-border mobility with certified advisors

Compilation of materials of good pedagogical practices (non-formal) for the training of business skills and basic business knowledge for young entrepreneurs/start-ups (at least 25 good practices in at least 6 languages).

Mapping of entrepreneurial ecosystems, focusing on supporting women entrepreneurs in 5 countries.

Creation of interactive training modules on our online-guidance platform to support transnational peer-to-peer learning experiences and foster business skills and digital literacy (5 modules and at least 500 users).

Compilation of transnational videos: “The best of CHEER YOU @P” (short videos).

Training course in Greece for 20 youth workers/teachers on digital learning methods and innovative ICT tools, including online facilitation techniques.

Training course in Austria for 20 youth workers/teachers on innovative approaches to leadership skills, mentoring and coaching to support young women with fewer opportunities in their career path (from “unemployed to self-employed”).

10 local outreach events with at least 200 external participants in total (Changemakers’ events)
