The first in-person gathering and public event in Tunis mark the beginning of a Capacity Building initiative aimed at reshaping vocational education and fostering youth innovation in the region

PULSE Project

The PULSE project (Promoting Unique Learning Strategies in Entrepreneurship), a Capacity Building initiative in Vocational Education and Training (VET) co-funded by the European Union, officially launched with a series of productive partner meetings and a public multi-stakeholder event hosted by IMSET in Tunis.

Over the course of three days, partners from Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Spain, Greece, and France gathered at the IMSET campus for collaborative discussions, study visits to local VET centers, and strategy alignment sessions. The study visits allowed partners to exchange knowledge and best practices while exploring the strengths of Tunisia’s VET system and its potential for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event culminated with the public conference, “Strengthening Tunisia’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem through TVET”, held at the Hotel Carlton. This powerful gathering brought together institutional representatives, VET providers, entrepreneurs, and innovation experts to discuss how TVET can drive youth innovation and foster sustainable growth across North Africa.

The event featured a series of insightful presentations and discussions:

  • Houbeb Rmadi, CEO of Honoris Tunisie-IMSET, delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the importance of cross-sector collaboration.

  • Mohamed Salah Frad, General Manager of UGFS NA, addressed the challenges and opportunities within Tunisia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

  • Nesrine Baklouti, National Erasmus+ Office Coordinator, presented the significance of Erasmus+ cooperation between Europe and Tunisia.

  • Amira Chaabane, from O.N.E. Organisation Nationale des Entrepreneurs, highlighted the crucial role of women in Tunisia’s entrepreneurial landscape.

Engaging roundtable discussions tackled key issues such as:

  • The policy and funding environment

  • Skills, mindset, and career readiness

  • Innovative training models, including incubators and challenge-based learning

The event marked the first public milestone in the three-year PULSE initiative.

A heartfelt thank you to the IMSET team for hosting the PULSE Kick-Off Meeting and Study Visit in Tunis, and for the excellent organization of the multi-stakeholder event. Their professionalism and dedication were key to the success of this important in-person launch.
