On 18 June 2025, Asociación Mundus hosted the international webinar “Empowering Teachers: Fostering Motivation and Emotional Growth in the Classroom”, as part of the Erasmus+ project From Burnout to Balance.

The session brought together educators, trainers and experts from across Europe to explore concrete strategies to support mental health, motivation and emotional resilience in teaching and learning environments.

Our speakers shared powerful insights and tools from across Europe:

  • Marcel Kuiten (Rijn IJssel & Deltion College, Netherlands)
Presented practices from the ME-Health Good Practices Guidebook, focusing on supporting mental health in education, especially post-COVID-19.

  • Stefanie Gugganig (bit schulungscenter GmbH, Austria)
Introduced the AHEAD in VET Self-Assessment Tool, designed to help teachers assess their competences in detecting and addressing mental health issues in the classroom.

  • Fernanda Torres (Principal, INETE – Portugal)
Shared practical Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) tools that can be implemented directly in everyday teaching.

Throughout the webinar, one common message resonated clearly: empowering teachers emotionally is not optional – it’s essential for creating supportive, inclusive and effective learning environments.
