On 25 September 2025, GIP FIPAN hosted the second international webinar of the Erasmus+ project From Burnout to Balance, an initiative that supports educators across Europe in managing stress and preventing burnout.

Led by Alessandra Giglio (GIP FIPAN, France), the session explored Nonviolent Communication (NVC) as a key tool to foster empathy, resilience and healthy relationships in education. Participants discovered how mindful and compassionate communication can strengthen collaboration and reduce tension in schools and training environments.

The training introduced the foundations of NVC — a method developed by psychologist Marshall B. Rosenberg — focused on recognising and expressing observations, feelings, needs and requests. Educators also practised the DESC method (Describe, Explain, Specify, Clarify) to address disagreements constructively and maintain mutual respect.

Through interactive exercises and real-life classroom examples, the webinar showed how small communication shifts can have a major impact on teacher well-being, classroom atmosphere, and overall emotional balance.
